After breaking with Trump, Musk donated tens of millions of dollars to the Republican camp

On July 31st local time, CCTV reporters learned that Elon Musk donated $5 million each to two major Republican Super PACs on June 27th, becoming the largest individual donor in the first half of 2025. Musk also contributed over $45 million to the American Political Action Committee (PAC), which he founded. Despite his previous strained relationship with Trump and his stated intention to establish a third party, Musk has remained a strong supporter of the Republican camp ahead of the midterm elections.
