On September 10th, coinciding with Alibaba's 26th anniversary, AutoNavi Maps officially launched a new feature, "AutoNavi Street Ranking." A reporter found that the "AutoNavi Street Ranking" covers three categories: food, hotels, and scenic spots, with the offline restaurant rankings being particularly eye-catching. In addition to conventional food recommendations, the list also includes special food lists such as "Small Fireworks Shops," "Local Favorites," and "Frequently Visited." In addition to food lists, there are also fashion and travel lists. Several people close to Alibaba told reporters that the "AutoNavi Street Ranking" is a high-priority project (S-level) for the Alibaba Group, with the previous similar project being Taobao Flash Sales. From Taobao Flash Sales for home delivery to the current focus on the "AutoNavi Street Ranking" for in-store delivery, Alibaba is striving to build a complete local life service ecosystem. This strategic shift is being viewed by the market as a response to competitors like Meituan, and the launch of this project will further intensify competition in the local life service market.
