Long-time Tesla bull and Wedbush Securities analyst Ives called on the Tesla board of directors on the 8th that "it must take action to set ground rules for Musk" and "the soap opera must end." Specifically, Ives and his team called on the Tesla board of directors to provide Musk with a new compensation plan, increase his voting rights in Tesla to about 25%, and clearly stipulate the time Musk needs to devote to Tesla's operations as a condition for fulfilling the compensation plan. The report also recommends that the board of directors set up a committee to "supervise" Musk's political activities so that they do not interfere with his duties as Tesla's CEO.
