Ant Financial starts applying for Hong Kong stablecoin license

According to Jiemian News, on June 12, Ant Group Vice President and Ant Digits Blockchain Business President Bian Zhuoqun revealed at the SNEC Shanghai Photovoltaic Exhibition that Ant Digits has started applying for a Hong Kong stablecoin license and has had multiple rounds of communication with regulators. It is reported that Ant Digits has listed Hong Kong as its global headquarters this year and has completed the pilot test of the regulatory sandbox in Hong Kong. On the same day, Ant Digits and GCL Energy jointly announced the establishment of a new company "Ant Xinneng".
