Apple M5 begins mass production, debuts with TSMC's latest 3nm process technology
According to the Securities Times, Apple has begun mass production of the M5 series chips, which will debut in the second half of this year and are expected to be first equipped with the iPad Pro. The first Apple M5 series chips use TSMC's latest generation 3nm process technology N3P. Compared with the previous process, N3P's performance has increased by 5% and power consumption has decreased by 5%-10%. In addition, the Apple M5 series chips use TSMC SoIC-MH packaging technology, which is TSMC's latest packaging solution. The Apple M5 series will include multiple members such as M5, M5 Pro, M5 Max and M5 Ultra, among which the standard version will be the first to debut and be applied to the iPad Pro.
