The first Apple M5 series chips use TSMC's latest generation 3nm process technology N3P. Compared with the previous process, N3P's performance has increased by 5% and power consumption has decreased by 5%-10%. In addition, the Apple M5 series chips use TSMC SoIC-MH packaging technology, which is TSMC's latest packaging solution. The Apple M5 series will include multiple members such as M5, M5 Pro, M5 Max and M5 Ultra, among which the standard version will be the first to debut and be applied to the iPad Pro.
