BYD plans to deploy its first batch of megawatt flash charging stations in Europe in the second quarter of 2026
On September 11, reporters learned from BYD that BYD's megawatt flash charging technology will be first installed on the Denza brand in Europe, and the first batch of 200-300 megawatt flash charging piles are planned to be put into the European market in the second quarter of 2026. On the evening of March 17 this year, BYD released the "megawatt flash charging" technology in China, with a maximum charging rate of 10C and a maximum charging power of 1MW (1000kW). The video shown at the press conference showed that the charging speed of the Han L megawatt flash charging was actually measured to be 5 minutes, and the cruising range increased by 407 kilometers. Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Group, said at the press conference, "The ultimate answer to completely solve the anxiety of electric vehicle charging is to make the charging time of electric vehicles as short as the refueling time of fuel vehicles, that is, to achieve 'oil and electricity at the same speed' in terms of energy replenishment speed."
