BYD's "sea fleet" of eight giant ships has made its debut at Xiaomo Port, with an annual capacity of over one million vehicles for ro-ro exports.
On October 19th, Xiaomo International Logistics Port was bustling with activity as 1,380 BYD new energy vehicles boarded the BYD roll-on/roll-off vessel "Changzhou" for shipment to Brazil. Prior to this, seven BYD vessels, including the "Trailblazer 1," "Shenzhen," and "Zhengzhou," had docked at Xiaomo Port and sailed out to sea. With this, eight BYD ships, representing an annual capacity exceeding one million vehicles, have made their debut at Xiaomo Port. From the maiden voyage of the "Trailblazer 1" in Shenzhen-Shanwei in 2024 to the successful arrival of all eight BYD roll-on/roll-off vessels, this is a complete record of operations. From January to September of this year, Xiaomo Port exported a total of 23,000 vehicles, with over 90% sourced from BYD's Shenzhen-Shanwei base. This vividly embodies the deep integration and coordinated development of the entire automotive industry chain (production, transportation, and trade) within the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone. In October, Xiaomo Port experienced a surge in roll-on/roll-off vehicle exports, and according to terminal operations, monthly exports are expected to exceed 14,000 vehicles. If this goal is successfully achieved, it will set a new record for monthly vehicle exports since the opening of Xiaomo Port.
