British media: Binance provides crypto regulatory advice to several countries
Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, pleaded guilty to criminal charges in the United States in 2023. The company is currently advising several countries on developing their own digital asset regulations and establishing national strategic Bitcoin reserves. Richard Teng, the company's CEO, said that the United States' more friendly approach to cryptocurrencies under Trump, including plans to establish a digital asset regulatory framework and a national reserve, is prompting some other countries to take similar actions. He added that "many countries have approached the company" to "(help) them develop a regulatory framework to manage cryptocurrencies." He declined to name the countries the company is working with.
