ByteDance's organizational changes give Douyin e-commerce greater autonomy

On September 1st, ByteDance reassigned its sales and industry operations teams, including key account (KA) direct sales teams specializing in e-commerce performance advertising, to Douyin's e-commerce department. Those specializing in brand advertising sales and operations remained within the commercialization department.
