Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. and Contemporary Amperex New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., subsidiaries of CATL, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China First Automobile Group Import & Export Co., Ltd. and Longsheng New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong, announcing that they will jointly promote the large-scale application of battery-swap operating vehicles in Hong Kong and simultaneously start the construction of Hong Kong's battery-swap infrastructure. The four parties have a clear division of labor. China FAW is responsible for vehicle model development and after-sales guarantee, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. is responsible for battery asset operation and recycling, Contemporary Amperex provides digital operation support for battery-swap stations, and Longsheng New Energy implements local infrastructure and vehicle promotion. According to the cooperation plan of the relevant parties, 10 stations will be built by the end of 2026 to form a battery-swap network covering all districts of Hong Kong.
