CATL discusses solid-state batteries: Capital investment is hotter than industry
On the evening of July 30th, at a meeting to interpret the company's 2025 semi-annual report, CATL executives, discussing the development trends of solid-state batteries, stated that capital investment is currently higher than industry enthusiasm for solid-state batteries. While companies can produce prototypes or experimental products for advertising purposes, true commercialization will take a long time. Currently, solid-state batteries are expected to achieve small-scale mass production in 2027, and the maturity cycle of the related supply chain will take 3-5 years, so true commercialization or large-scale production will not be achieved until around 2030.
