CATL officially announced the mass production and delivery of 587Ah battery cells
CATL officially announced the mass production and delivery of the next generation of large-capacity energy storage dedicated battery cells - 587Ah batteries. It is understood that the energy density of CATL's 587Ah battery cells reaches 434Wh/L, which is 10% higher than the previous generation, and the system energy density is increased by 25%. Through breakthroughs in three aspects, including mechanical structure, chemical system and pole piece design, the initial value of energy efficiency (RTE) in the charge and discharge cycle reaches 96.5%. Tests show that the failure rate caused by self-discharge of CATL's 587Ah battery cells is one order of magnitude lower than that of laminated batteries.
