CITIC Securities: Many automakers promise to unify supplier payment terms to within 60 days, and the auto industry has entered a new stage of high-quality development
According to a research report by CITIC Securities, recently, many automakers including GAC, Dongfeng, Seres, Geely, and BYD responded to the State Council's "Regulations on Guaranteeing Payment of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" and the China Automobile Association's initiative, promising to unify the payment period for suppliers within 60 days to accelerate the capital turnover of the industrial chain and ensure the stability of the supply chain. Previously, the purchase period of large automakers generally exceeded 60 days, exacerbating the risks of capacity expansion and price wars. This move is not only a response to the policy, but will also fundamentally promote the high-quality development of the automotive industry and drive a benign change in the industrial chain.
