Chinese e-commerce platforms spark download boom in the US

On April 18, local time, the New York Post reported that driven by the Trump administration's tariffs on Chinese imports and the TikTok short video craze, Chinese e-commerce platforms DHgate and Taobao quickly became popular among American consumers, both entering the top five free downloads on the Apple App Store. The report pointed out that TikTok has become an important driving force behind this trend.
