Chinese ports introduce entry facilitation measures to improve customs clearance efficiency
Data released by the China National Immigration Administration showed that in the first half of this year, 38.053 million foreigners entered and exited ports across the country, up 30.2% year-on-year. In order to improve the customs clearance experience of incoming foreigners, ports such as Beijing, Hangzhou, and Guangzhou have introduced a series of convenience measures. The ports of Beijing Capital International Airport and Daxing International Airport adopt the "double-row and inspection" mode, increase the number of police officers on duty and check channels, and improve the customs clearance efficiency of foreigners by about 30%. The Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport port has introduced intelligent humanoid robots and self-service filling terminals for foreign entry registration cards, shortening the customs clearance time. The Guangzhou Baiyun Airport port has introduced 15 convenience measures, set up a special channel for the Canton Fair, provided efficient entry services for exhibitors, and deployed AI intelligent interactive platforms and AR customs clearance guidelines to improve the level of intelligent customs clearance.
