As of now, Douyin APP has more than 3 million monthly active users in Hong Kong, China, an increase of 147% from the end of 2022 and more than 60% from the same period in 2024. Nearly 40% of Hong Kong's permanent population uses Douyin APP every month. In addition, ByteDance is also accelerating its AI layout in Hong Kong, China. Its cloud computing and AI solution provider BytePlus launched a local data center in Hong Kong in October 2024.
