Eli Lilly plans $5 billion manufacturing facility in Virginia

On September 16, local time, Eli Lilly and Company announced plans to build a $5 billion manufacturing facility in Goochland County, west of Richmond, Virginia. The new site will be the company's first fully integrated active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and drug product manufacturing site dedicated to its emerging bioconjugate platform and monoclonal antibody pipeline. The facility is expected to be completed within the next five years.
