Fujian's first "Ice Silk Road" route sets sail
On September 21st, under the supervision of Fuzhou Customs, the Haijie Shipping container vessel "Istanbul Bridge" successfully completed its first berthing operation at the Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port. Loaded with CATL new energy lithium batteries and Wanhua Chemical products, it will reach a key European port in a record time of 19 days. This marks the official launch of Fujian's first "Polar Silk Road" China-Europe Arctic Express route, accelerating the global reach of "Made in Fujian" and "Made in China." The route connects major domestic ports such as Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Fuzhou, and Ningbo, with direct connections to core European hubs such as Flixstowe in the UK, Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Hamburg in Germany, and Gdansk in Poland. The entire journey takes only 19 days, saving seven days compared to the China-Europe Express, over 20 days faster than the traditional Suez Canal route, and over 30 days faster than the route around the Cape of Good Hope in Africa.
