Hikvision: Canadian company applies to Canadian prosecutors for review of Canadian government decision, company temporarily resumes operations
Hikvision announced on July 7 that Hikvision Canada has submitted an application to the Attorney General of Canada, seeking a judicial review of the Canadian government's decision to stop all its operations in Canada. The statement said that after reaching an agreement with the Attorney General of Canada, Hikvision Canada has resumed normal operations until the court makes a ruling on the company's application for a stay of execution. Hikvision said that since entering the Canadian market, it has complied with all applicable laws and regulations, and the company will continue to defend its position that Hikvision's products and technologies do not endanger the national security of Canada or any other country/region where the company operates.
