At the midday close of Hong Kong stocks, the Hang Seng Index fell 0.29%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index fell 0.09%. The Hong Kong Tech ETF (159751) fell 0.17%, and the Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF (159318) fell 0.35%. Among sectors, forestry and paper products, and semiconductor products and equipment saw the largest gains, while biotechnology and life science tools saw the largest declines. Among individual stocks, ZTE rose 7.74%, SMIC rose 6.05%, Hansoh Pharmaceutical fell 9.18%, and Tigermed fell 10.44%. Unisound rose 19.7%, and Changfei Optical Fiber and Cable rose 15.14%.
