At the midday close of Hong Kong stocks, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.91%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 2.19%. The Hong Kong Tech ETF (159751) rose 1.91%, and the Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF (159318) rose 1.34%. Among sectors, building products and automotive saw the largest gains, while forestry and paper products, and biotechnology saw the largest declines. Among individual stocks, Hua Hong Semiconductor rose 7.96%, SMIC rose 7.03%, Alibaba-W rose 6.4%, Alibaba-WR rose 6.09%, Kuaishou-W rose 5.2%, and Kuaishou-WR rose 5.01%. Canggang Railway fell 7.69%, and Volkswagen Public Utilities fell 7.71%. Hisense Home Appliances rose 9.69%, and ASMPT rose 8.35%.
