On August 3rd, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), CITIC Offshore Helicopters, and Fengfei Aviation jointly announced that my country's independently developed large-scale electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft successfully completed the world's first offshore oil platform cargo transport flight. This breakthrough not only innovates the offshore supply model but also marks a key step forward in my country's application of low-altitude logistics in land and sea scenarios. The aircraft used in this flight was the "Kairuiou," my country's independently developed 2-ton eVTOL aircraft, the world's first to receive type certification, production license, and stand-alone airworthiness certificate. Loaded with fresh fruit and emergency medicines, it took off from a land-based take-off and landing point in Shenzhen and, after a 58-minute cross-sea flight, landed on the Huizhou 19-3 platform in the East South China Sea oilfield, 150 kilometers from the Shenzhen coastline, successfully completing its delivery mission.
