Omdia's latest "Cloud and Datacenter AI Processor Forecast" report shows that the AI datacenter chip market continues to grow rapidly, but there are signs that the growth rate is beginning to slow. The booming development of AI infrastructure has led to a significant upward revision of the forecast, with GPU and AI accelerator shipments reaching $123 billion in 2024, increasing to $207 billion in 2025, and $286 billion in 2030. Although the market grew at an annual rate of over 250% between 2022 and 2024, the growth rate is expected to decline to around 67% between 2024 and 2025. AI infrastructure spending as a percentage of total datacenter spending is expected to peak in 2026 (when almost all incremental spending will be driven by AI) and then gradually decline until 2030.
