Japan speaks out after South Korean employees in the United States were detained: Three Japanese were detained

CCTV reporters learned on the 9th that at least three Japanese citizens were among the 475 people arrested and detained by US law enforcement during a crackdown on illegal immigration at the construction site of a joint battery plant between Hyundai Motor Group and LG Energy Solution in Savannah, Georgia. The Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta stated that it has confirmed that Japanese citizens have been detained by US authorities and is currently handling the matter, but could not disclose specific details, including the number of detainees.
