Joyson Electronics releases robot AI head assembly and global controller based on Jetson Thor
On September 18th, Joyson Electronics officially launched its robotic AI head assembly, a global controller based on the NVIDIA Jetson Thor chip, and a new generation of robotic energy management products. Wang Shu, Deputy Director of the Ningbo Science and Technology Bureau; Luo Shaodong, Deputy Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Ningbo High-tech Zone Management Committee; and Cai Zhifeng, Director and Party Secretary of the Ningbo High-tech Zone Industry and Information Technology Bureau. They were joined by domestic robotics companies Zhiyuan Robotics, Xiaopeng Robotics, StarMotion, and Stardust Intelligence; international robotics company RIVR; and ecosystem partners Alibaba Cloud and NVIDIA to witness the launch of these new products. Joyson Electronics' robotic AI head assembly features an integrated structural design, integrating multiple functions, including a flexible display, microphone array, depth camera, and rotation control. Based on a large AI model, it delivers a global, multimodal interactive experience while maintaining a sleek, lightweight, and stable design. Joyson Electronics' global-domain controller is equipped with NVIDIA's Jetson Thor chip, with an AI computing power of up to 2070 TOPS, which is 7.5 times that of the previous generation Orin; 14-core high-performance computing CPU, performance improved by 3.1 times; overall energy efficiency improved by 3.5 times, supporting real-time inference of large models at the tens of billions level, and can efficiently cope with complex application scenarios.
