LG Electronics starts construction of third manufacturing plant in India and will invest about $600 million in the next four years

LG Electronics India announced on May 8 that it has started construction of its third manufacturing plant in the country. The plant in Andhra Pradesh will produce a variety of products such as refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners and is expected to be put into production next year. The statement said that LG Electronics plans to invest about US$600 million in the next four years to attract supporting companies to settle in the region, thereby creating a white goods manufacturing ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.
