Lazada established a "One-click Overseas Expansion" project team and systematically connected with Tmall for the first time
Reporters have learned from multiple sources that, following Taobao's global expansion project last year, Lazada and Tmall have for the first time achieved system-level integration, establishing a dedicated project team to enable Tmall merchants to connect to the Southeast Asian market with one click. Several well-known Tmall brands have confirmed their participation. A representative from a brand that received an invitation to expand overseas exclusively revealed to Sina Technology that the project, a joint initiative between Tmall and Lazada, is highly valued within Alibaba. Currently, merchants have a dedicated "One-click Global Expansion, Direct to Southeast Asia" page in their backend. "There are no additional operating costs; merchants are solely responsible for shipping goods to domestic warehouses, while the platform covers international logistics, overseas product after-sales service, and advertising." Reporters reached out to Lazada for confirmation, but no response was received as of press time.
