In response to a picture circulating online that showed Lei Jun arranging a Taobao flash sale with an 18-yuan red envelope with no threshold, Xiaomi Group responded on June 4 that it was fake news. The picture showed that Lei Jun, founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi Group, posted a message saying that to celebrate the official launch of Xiaomi YU7, everyone was given a cup of milk tea and a corresponding red envelope redemption password was provided.
