MediaTek releases Dimensity 9500 flagship mobile processor
On September 22nd, MediaTek released the Dimensity 9500 flagship 5G mobile processor chip. The Dimensity 9500's all-large-core CPU architecture includes one C1-Ultra super-large core clocked at up to 4.21GHz, three C1-Premium super-large cores, and four C1-Pro large cores. It integrates the matrix operation instruction set SME2 and is the first to support the 4-channel UFS4.1 flash memory architecture. Single-core performance is improved by 32% compared to the previous generation, and multi-core performance is improved by 17%. Ultra-large core power consumption is reduced by 55% compared to the previous generation X925 at peak performance, and multi-core power consumption is reduced by 37% compared to the previous generation at peak performance. The first smartphones using the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip are expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2025.
