Nvidia reaches $100 billion partnership with OpenAI, says it will still treat all customers equally
Nvidia said that despite the major collaboration with OpenAI, all customers will be given "equal priority" and will not be affected by the agreement. Nvidia said in a statement: "Our investment will not change the company's focus, nor will it affect supply to other customers. Regardless of whether there is an equity relationship, we will continue to treat every customer as the highest priority." CEO Jensen Huang has been committed to continuing its growth momentum by expanding its customer base. Despite its great success, Nvidia's revenue is still highly dependent on a few companies, including Microsoft, Meta, Amazon and Alphabet. These technology giants are competing to quickly build AI infrastructure and attract more users to use their services. They are also deploying or independently developing chip components to try to reduce their dependence on Nvidia. Therefore, customers are worried that they may lose supply priority, which may prompt them to further accelerate their own research and development, or more seriously consider alternatives from potential competitors such as AMD.
