Nvidia supplier solves rack overheating issue, starts shipping Blackwell chips
Nvidia's suppliers are accelerating production of its flagship AI data center "racks" after resolving technical issues that delayed shipments. Sources revealed that Nvidia's partners, including Foxconn and Dell, have made a series of breakthroughs and are able to start shipping the much-anticipated "Blackwell" artificial intelligence servers. Foxconn and others said last week that the GB200 racks began shipping at the end of the first quarter and production capacity is currently expanding rapidly. Nvidia will release its quarterly earnings report on Wednesday local time, when investors will pay close attention to whether Blackwell shipments have returned to normal after the initial technical problems.
