Seven killed in Venezuelan military plane crash
Venezuelan Defense Minister Padrino López Obrador issued a statement on social media on July 30th, stating that a military aircraft carrying 10 people crashed in the southern state of Amazonas on the 29th, killing seven people. The statement stated that the crashed aircraft belonged to the Venezuelan Air Force and was carrying seven passengers and three crew members on board. The accident killed the co-pilot and six passengers. Rescue workers found three survivors at the scene and they are receiving medical treatment. López Obrador stated that the cause of the accident requires further investigation.
