At 13:25 Beijing time today (16th), flight MU217 took off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport with 243 passengers and landed smoothly at Geneva Airport in Switzerland. This is also the first direct flight from Shanghai to Geneva operated by a Chinese airline. The route uses Airbus A350 or A330 large wide-body aircraft. Both models are equipped with high-speed air-ground interconnection functions. Passengers can experience the "full online" in-flight Internet service during the flight. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland and the "China-Switzerland Culture and Tourism Year". The opening of the new route greatly facilitates business, tourism and cultural and trade exchanges between China and Europe.
