South Korea's Kospi hits new high

South Korea's Kospi index rose as much as 1.1%, hitting a record high. Samsung Electronics, Doosan Energy, and Hyundai Motor were the biggest boosters of the Kospi. The small-cap Kosdaq index rose as much as 1.1%, hitting its highest level since June 2024.
