Tariffs cost Apple $800 million; Cook says he's acquired about seven companies this year

On July 31st, local time, Apple CEO Tim Cook told analysts in a conference call that tariffs had cost Apple $800 million in the quarter and could increase costs by $1.1 billion this quarter. Cook also stated that Apple has acquired about seven companies so far this year, not all of which focus on AI. He stated that Apple is always looking to acquire companies of any size to help it develop AI products.
