Tesla's sales in France plummeted 67%, hitting a three-year low
Tesla Inc.'s new car registrations in France fell further, undermining Chief Executive Elon Musk's assertion last month that the company had recovered from a sales slump at the start of the year. The automaker sold just 721 vehicles in May, down 67% from a year earlier, according to French auto industry association Plateforme Automobile. Tesla's registrations fell to their lowest level since July 2022, despite the launch of a redesigned version of its best-selling Model Y. Tesla shares fell as much as 2.3% before the start of regular trading on Monday, and the stock has fallen 14% so far this year.
