Q: We have noted that China has launched an anti-discrimination investigation into US measures against China in the integrated circuit sector. Could you please provide more information? A: In recent years, the US has implemented a series of prohibitive and restrictive measures against China in the integrated circuit sector, including Section 301 investigations and export control measures. These protectionist practices are suspected of discriminatory practices against China and constitute an attempt to curb and suppress China's development of high-tech industries such as advanced computing chips and artificial intelligence. They not only harm China's development interests but also seriously undermine the stability of the global semiconductor industry chain and supply chain. China firmly opposes this. In accordance with Articles 7, 36, and 37 of the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, China has decided to launch an anti-discrimination investigation into US measures against China in the integrated circuit sector and will subsequently take corresponding measures against the US based on the actual situation. This investigation will be conducted in an impartial, fair, and open manner. We welcome the active participation of all stakeholders affected by US measures, including Chinese industries and enterprises. China will take all necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
