The three major U.S. stock indices opened slightly lower, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.13%, the S&P 500 down 0.06%, and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.04%. Eli Lilly rose over 3% after the company's Phase 3 clinical trial of orforglipron, an oral GLP-1RA, in patients with obesity and type 2 diabetes was successful.
