On June 9, local time, TikTok announced that it would expand its investment in the UK, including setting up a new office in London, expanding its business and creating new jobs. A statement released by the company said that TikTok's UK employee headcount will increase to 3,000 this year, with more than 500 new jobs. It is investing in a new office in London's Barbican, which will cover an area larger than the UK headquarters that opened in 2022 and is expected to open early next year. TikTok said this will bring its investment in UK infrastructure to approximately 140 million pounds (about 1.362 billion yuan).
