U.S. stocks closed: Alibaba rose more than 8% and Nvidia hit a new high

At the close of U.S. stocks on Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average initially closed down 0.98%, the S&P 500 fell 0.4%, and the Nasdaq rose slightly by 0.18%. Nvidia (NVDA.O) rose 4%, setting a new closing high, AMD (AMD.O) rose 6.4%, the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index rose 2.7%, and Alibaba (BABA.N) rose 8.1%.
