US stocks open: Nasdaq rises 1.5%, Microsoft and META lead gains

At the US stock market opening, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.18%, the S&P 500 rose 0.81%, and the Nasdaq rose 1.5%. Microsoft rose over 7%, and Meta rose over 10%, after its previously released earnings report exceeded expectations. Qualcomm fell over 3%, but its Q3 earnings report raised concerns, with mobile phone-related revenue falling short of expectations. Arm Holdings fell over 10%, with its first-quarter net profit down 42% year-on-year.
