WeRide launches Saudi Arabia’s first Robotaxi trial service

On July 23, WeRide officially launched Saudi Arabia's first Robotaxi trial operation service in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It is also the only Robotaxi trial operation service in Saudi Arabia. The trial operation service will be carried out on public roads under the supervision of the Saudi General Transport Authority TGA. The operation area covers King Khalid International Airport and several core locations in Riyadh, including major highways and selected downtown areas. The Robotaxi used for the trial operation is provided by WeRide and the service is provided through the Uber platform. The first batch of dozens of units will be put into use. Riyadh's comprehensive Robotaxi commercial operation service is expected to be provided by WeRide by the end of 2025.
