On the afternoon of June 11, at the Huawei Pura 80 series and full-scenario new product launch conference, Huawei's executive director and chairman of the Terminal BG Yu Chengdong said that the long-term race in science and technology requires long-term R&D investment endurance. In the past ten years, Huawei's cumulative R&D investment has reached 1.249 trillion yuan. In the past year, Huawei's R&D investment was close to 180 billion yuan (179.7 billion yuan), of which about 60 billion yuan was used in basic research and about 120 billion yuan was used in product development. Last year, Huawei's R&D expenses accounted for more than 20.8% of its operating income, and it has accumulated 150,000 valid authorized patents worldwide.
