Asian Tech Press (Sep 7) -- South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Co. said Tuesday it will apply the hydrogen fuel cell system to all its commercial vehicle models by 2028, Yonhap News Agency reported.
The report said that the Korean top car maker plans to release most of its commercial vehicle models as all-electric or hydrogen fuel cell electric models.
The company said the hydrogen system will be gradually installed in all of Hyundai's trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicle models by 2028.
According to Yonhap, all-electric and hydrogen electric models currently account for only 1.5% of Hyundai's global sales, and the company initially plans to increase it to 30% by 2030.
