Honeycomb Energy: Developing soft-pack semi-solid-state batteries with an energy density of 360Wh/kg

From September 11th to 14th, the 21st China Automotive Industry Development (TEDA) International Forum was held in Tianjin's Binhai New Area. Yang Hongxin, Chairman and CEO of Honeycomb Energy, delivered a keynote speech at the forum, stating that Honeycomb Energy's proprietary "electrolyte thermal composite transfer process" has successfully overcome multiple technical bottlenecks in mass production of semi-solid-state batteries. Combined with high-nickel cathode materials, this process has become the industry's lowest-cost and most scalable semi-solid-state battery solution. Honeycomb Energy has built a dedicated 2.3GWh semi-solid-state battery production line and completed development of its first-generation 270Wh/kg prismatic battery cell, with plans to begin mass production of C-samples in November 2025. This product has already secured orders for electric vehicles from a renowned European brand and has been selected for a central enterprise's eVTOL project. Honeycomb Energy is also developing a soft-pack semi-solid-state battery with an energy density of 360Wh/kg for mass production. Samples have been officially delivered to a central enterprise developing low-altitude aircraft, and the company plans to conduct its first flight this year.

Honeycomb Energy responded to the fire at the Jintan base: The fire has been extinguished, no casualties occurred, and the factory building was not affected

On July 21, in response to the news of a factory fire circulating on the Internet, Honeycomb Energy responded to Interface News that at around 2 pm on July 21, the rooftop photovoltaic panels of the first phase of the suspended factory at Honeycomb Energy's Jintan base caught fire. The fire has been extinguished, there were no casualties, and the factory was not affected.
