BlackRock raises $1.03 billion for first foreign-run mutual fund in China

Asian Tech Press (Sep 8) -- BlackRock Inc (BLK:New York), the world's largest asset management firm, said Wednesday it has raised 6.68 billion yuan ($1.03 billion) for its first mutual fund in China, with more than 110,000 investors participating in the subscriptions.

China allows Fidelity to set up mutual fund unit

SHANGHAI, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Fidelity International has obtained Chinese regulatory approval to set up a wholly-owned mutual fund unit in Shanghai, giving it a toehold in the country's $3.5 trillion retail fund market.
