Amazon's self-driving car startup Zoox is stepping up its efforts to produce driverless taxis, and the company is about to launch its first commercial (operation) plan in Las Vegas, USA. Zoox has opened a mass production factory in the San Francisco Bay Area. The factory will help Zoox expand its fleet of self-driving taxis, and once it is fully operational, the annual production will eventually reach 10,000 vehicles. Zoox plans to launch a public taxi service in Las Vegas later this year, and will then operate in San Francisco.
