Hong Kong stocks closed sharply higher, with the Hang Seng Index closing up 1.74% and the Hang Seng Tech Index closing up 3.08%. Technology and internet stocks rose across the board, with Xiaomi Group up more than 6%, Alibaba up 3.8%, Tencent up 2.56% and Kingsoft Cloud up more than 4%.
