On June 6, under the framework of Hong Kong's low-altitude economic regulatory sandbox, Meituan's first regular drone route was officially put into operation. The new route is set in the "cross-sea + park" scenario. The drone will take off from the Hong Kong Science Park and land on the Ma On Shan Seaside Promenade. Currently, merchants such as McDonald's and Pizza Hut in Hong Kong have access to the service. Speaking of subsequent development, Mao Yinian, vice president of Meituan and head of drone business, said that Meituan's drones will take the Hong Kong Science Park as the starting point and gradually open drone airdrop cabinet routes to Ma On Shan residential areas to promote the implementation of more application scenarios.
