Report: Overseas sales revenue of China's self-developed games will account for 33.62% in 2024
The "Game Industry Overseas Development Forum" at the 2025 Game Business Conference was held in Shanghai, where the "Research on the Globalization of China's Game Industry" report was released. The report states that after more than 20 years of development, the globalization of China's game industry has entered the early stages of localization. Leading Chinese game companies, represented by Tencent Games, have initially established localized research and development strategies and independent overseas brands. By 2024, overseas sales revenue of self-developed Chinese games will account for 33.62%. Currently, China and the United States are the world's two largest game markets, with market sizes expected to reach $47 billion and $46.1 billion in 2024, respectively.
